TEEN MALE LIFESTYLE BRAND

Albie & Walt is a new complementary brand from the very successful GiftPop lifestyle boutique, aimed at teen men.

The brand wanted a logo that would appeal to its demographic, stand out in a crowded marketplace, and illustrate its aspiration to be a leader in the field.


Logo Design | Concept

The challenge for this project was to create an effective, stand-out design that would appeal to its youthful demographic.

Additionally, the logo had to evoke leadership (in their market) and importantly not exclude its appeal from a female demographic.

The mark had to be flexible in its design to allow for the growth and diversification of the brand going forward.

To create this logo, the foundation was built on the initial ‘A’ and ‘W’ at the outset but in such a way as to not be obvious. Bringing a regal sense to the design, the crown form was utilised to embody the sense of leadership and also to subtly suggest the transition from ‘princes’ to ‘kings’.

The use of a bold colour way, combining black and pink illustrated a forward-thinking, contemporary mindset to the brand and its values.
